The lead foot has to accept the dump
A trail heel can do honest work and still watch the shot die if the front inside rolls. The pad is rude about this. Pretty finishes do not count. Accept, or hop, or collapse — those are the three stamps.

Inside of the lead heel goes dark while the outside lights up. Common in April mud when the shoe sinks. Looks like “using the ground.” Is not.
Hop
Both feet leave a honest share. January hardpan loves this. We will not put a head on a hop. We will name it and stop.

Golfers who learned to brace in silt meet granite in January and bounce. They blame the ball. The bars show a hole. Mara would rather see you in freeze season than invent a shaft for a bounce you will outgrow in May — or worse, keep forever.
