Driver pressure is a long, late dump
The longest club on the rack asks the trail heel to hold, then leave, without turning the lead into a trampoline. Faces get blamed. The pad usually shows a dump that never finished, or a hop that looked like speed.
What “long” means here
Hold is allowed. Glue is not. Hop is a veto.
Driver dumps later than irons. Fine. Later is not never. Mara’s pencil wants a trail heel that falls while there is still time for the lead to accept. If the heel is still the brightest bar after the ball is gone, we are not talking sleeves. We are talking a mill belt that never passed the crate.
January hardpan makes this worse. Golfers bounce off the lead to fake a finish. The window on the wall may even show a number they like. The CoP trace shows a hole. We keep the hole. We do not keep the number.
Tee height is a variable, not a personality
We change it after the feet, and alone
A higher tee can hide a sticky trail for a few swings. We will try it after we have an honest dump clock, not before. If the dump only exists on a circus tee, the mill bag does not include that circus.
Heads wait
The rack is a library, not a vending wall
Once accept is stamped, we may hang two or three heads that match the dump clock. We will not hunt a head that forgives a hop. That head does not exist in this mill.
